Most venture firms are like Hollywood studios. If they need special effects, they outsource it to someone technical. But what if the whole movie is synthetic? That's too much pixie dust to sprinkle.
So animation starts with a technical editor, who iterates on reels a thousand times before the film is produced. That is who I am, and why I love hard tech. I get to storyboard fragile research ideas and turn them into polished theses.
My macro focus is on consumer areas that enable customized experiences, ambient interactions, and reliable relationships.
I studied Physics at Harvard, a place filled with sociopathic careerists, irreverent polymaths, prodigious wimps, elitist sovereigns, and first-order contrarians.
My contribution to these dysfunctions was dyslexia, led to Cs sometimes (!!) but ended with Highest Honors.
Then I ran a startup which, sadly, didn't work out ... but what I loved most was finding exceptional people — even ones I couldn't recruit, like Aman, who went on to co-found Cursor (now worth $29B).
